Here are some new paintings I'm currently working on - feeling pretty good about them so far. Most of them are 8x10's, 10x10's, 16x20's. But I've got a couple of 30x30's I am itching to get started on - and that's the very best part of a painting - the beginning, the roughing in, the underpainting - when its a blank canvas and the possibilities are endless, the potential to be a masterpiece is within grasp and I don't have to be careful and not mess up that beautiful foreground I worked over and over 'til I finally got right.
To freely paint with big brushes and big bold strokes washing in the color and letting it drip where it wants - now that's the fun part of painting!
